Sunday worship
Our 9am worship service is a family friendly traditional service with children invited to join in with the Sunday School activities. Alternatively there are activity sheets for the children to do while sitting with you. Following our worship service please join us for morning tea and fellowship. Come and gather with us on any Sunday.
Every Sunday, we also livestream the whole worship service for people who cannot make it along in-person. Please click here to go to our YouTube channel.
Communion Sunday
The first Sunday of the month is usually Communion Sunday. Holy Communion is a special ritual or sacrament whereby a meal of bread and wine / juice is shared among believers. We practice what is called an “open table”. This means that all are invited to participate, and it is up to each individual how they respond. If you prefer to watch this part of the service, that is fine.
Offerings
Our Sunday service gives people the opportunity to donate money to the work of the church in what is called an “offering”. It is up to you whether you choose to give any money to the Church to help it pay for those everyday things like electricity, water and telephones as well as mission activities such as Community Meal, pastoral care and other related community support activities.

Sermon and Life Group Series
At Albert Street Uniting Church, we run a number of special sermon and Life Group series throughout the year, each one focussing on a different topic. Each series runs for 6 weeks. Every Sunday, we hear a sermon on the topic, then we connect with a Life Group during the week for Bible study and further learning. Life Groups are a safe space to ask challenging questions, listen to each other openly and share your thoughts.
The sermon videos and Bible study videos for each series can all be found on our YouTube channel.
What does it mean to be followers of Jesus? Our "Followship" series is a great way to find out. Click here to view all the Bible study videos. Click below to download the Bible study booklet.

Frequently asked questions
Our 9am Sunday worship is a traditional, but family friendly service which includes Sunday School and fellowship morning tea afterwards. For a more detailed overview of what to expect from a worship service and our beliefs, please visit the Uniting Church Queensland's "What to expect in church" page.
Two special parts of the service that may need further explanation are:
- Holy communion
Holy communion is celebrated mostly on the first Sunday of the month. This is a special ritual or sacrament, remembering the last supper Jesus shared with his disciples before he died. A small portion of bread and grape juice are taken as part of the ritual. Gluten free bread is also available. In doing so, we also remember Jesus' promise that he is always with us. We practice what is called an open table. This means that all are invited to participate, and it is up to each individual how they respond. If you prefer to watch this part of the service, that is fine.
- Offerings
Offerings to the church are received during our services. It is up to you whether you choose to give any money to the church to help it pay for those every day things like electricity, water and telephones as well as mission activities such as Community Meal, pastoral care and other related community support activities.
When it's your first visit, we know you'll probably prefer to observe and get your bearings in a new place. At some point, our staff would love to meet you and get to know you.
If you would like someone to contact you, you can give us a call on 07 3071 3060 or talk to one of our ushers on Sunday.
